military axles
Have a chance at a crawler that is in my price range, but it has 2 1/2 mil(rockwells not gmc). I think it is a good starter, but have been warned these may be a concern. Opinions and expertise needed.

Only concerns I can think of with Rockwell would be if you plan to do really tight trails they are kinda wide and if you plan to street drive them they are geared very low. You call it a "crawler" so I assume the person installed so the truck is low enough with them so it isn't in the clouds. When building with rocks the pinion location and height can be a bitch when trying to keep your lift to a minimum.
