Here is another blip on the radar:
from an cargo industry analyst who worked on the initial study.

I say no to the Cargo airport for selfish reasons, NIMBY, wheeling, more disturbance of real woods, more tractor trailers... but sometimes I think fuck it, we deserve it. Like yesterday, on the St. Clair bypass (RT 61) when about a dozen bikes and quads flew past me like they were on a Sunday poker run. The worst part was that a storm was revving up and the pussies were shortcutting back to their homes/trailers. Could have been the best part of their ride had they known to stick it out on the dirt and ride through the storm to finish out the day.
A Sheppton local told me somebody did the math and added up the time it would take to fill in the proposed airport spot to level and the answer was like a decade.

Here was the R&H follow up today:

aint that the truth, so the economy hits the shitter and now they need a cargo airport ???

The political machine will do it every time:
Hope the appeal and/or financing tenant shit ends this thing for good.

Not as nice as the previous article but here was the next action FWIW:

Local "coverage", great to see Service Electric opposing Gladstone. They are old school cable with the first HBO uplink on the east coast and def a force to be reckoned with.

Yes you are correct Eric.

From what I remember and I could be wrong. There was some sort of tax break on the land for not using it to create revinue and it was closed shortly after. I beleive Redridge campground actually owned the land I know I never got to go there and it wasnt open long at all. I'm sure I will be corrected if I am wrong.
I'd love to see it open back up but dont see it happening. At least there is a new game in town to break up the sameness of running the same place all the time now.

|md_rubi||Back in 07 Kyle, opened another paragon next to the old, what happened to that? I also ran into Kyle in couple of the jeep jamboree few yrs back and he said he was still working to opening another one in the area.|

|Schuylker||If they brought in a crusher I guess they would have plenty of material. I know they did that during the construction of the Schuylkill Mall. Maybe feasibility isn't as much of a concern as making money off of determining it?|

|TiTRD||It still boggles my mind how they're going to get an airport on that land. It's a giant valley full of rocks.|

"There was no place like paragon." -Martin Pennington
Yup, sucks I'll never get to go there unless they open it up again.

New story today with the appeal up at the County zoning extra crooked level:
In my view there was a good sign towards the end:
"Robert S. Sensky, a lawyer representing Service Electric Cable Vision which would share the industrial park Humboldt Industrial Park with the proposed airport, said the company has yet to receive any reports on the impacts of their service signals as well. "
Service Electric is quite powerful and should have some sway in the whole thing. Hopefully there intentions are to oppose and not for a payoff.
On a side note, the typo aint mine, its the usual Republican Herald sloppiness.

|1tuffyj||Cuz it's at the intersection of i81 and i80 with 2 huge industrial parks next to it. Shit ton of trucks everyday to distribute their dirty money. Too bad basically every legal aspect is against them. Fuckers|
