Why embarrassed? Shit, I'd brag about that! HD axle for low coin is nothing to shake a stick at.
I was originally going to do a 3" SL and some skids and then pick up a nice project hot rod/pickup, but after the first time offroad here in NM (recently moved from VA), I abandoned those plans and decided to put that money I'd been saving into the Xterra for a SAS. There are too many Jeeps and Yotas out on the trails... I figured I needed to help bring some diversity out to the trails here haha

Rugged Rocks is building up this one at the moment...
37s leaned up against the side for comparison to the 33s on their before the build.

Here is my 08 with 60's under it. It sits pretty darn low for being on 42's.

I posted about two years ago in this thread so here it is basically finished. (although we all they are never finished!)
Do you think there's enough travel?
It has a Nissan Patrol from axle (H233) and basically total Patrol drive train and front arms. Rear is completely custom arms. Wheel alignment is done as a LWB GQ Nissan Patrol.
Tyres are 33's for off road racing (Micky T's) but run 35 Simex Extreme Trekkers for most other things. They aren't available to you in the US but for wet clay and mud (not mud bogging) they are about as good as you can get. Plenty of better tyres for dry terrain but when you live in New Zealand and have about 6' of rain per year, mud is a constant challenge! http://www.simextyres.co.nz/simex-ar...le=-2092972571
Engine is a turboed Nissan VH45. As tuned it has about 530hp. In the race the above photo the GPS recorded 137 MPH as totp speed but we were regularly above 130mph.
And in race trim it is 100% road legal with the engineers certs to prove it.

My WB is between 119'', and 120''.
I cut a foot off the frame, and skinned the bed with my old bedsides so it looks shorter than it is..

I guess I never put my truck in here.
Since it got a little beat up in Moab I decided to do a newer version of the 88 desert runner paint scheme.

|Midget28||Meh its a product of tight trails and to much skinny pedal. That and I dont really care about sheetmetal to start with. Its going to get a v8 swap sometime in the future and the front sheetmetal will disapear entirely when that happens in favor for tube.|
