Roxtar The projects been fun and we have learned a lot. Cant wait to get it fully done and dialed in to see what works and what needs tweaking. I am the owner of the vehicle and am using roxtars log in to post updates. He is no longer involved with the project as he has moved and has started a buisness. He was a great help and iI learned so much from him. He checks this site every so often so you can get in contact with him or i can if neccesary.

The dog keeps eating my homework.

I lost a week with my tool truck being down, then as I was on my way to a sales meeting, I got a load of bad diesel fuel and my pick-up was down for a week.

I have a replacement wiring harness and now just need to string it up and carefully crank it over before trying to fire it up.

PTSchram With any luck, I'll be getting it going this weekend.

I put the TDi swap aside for a few weeks to focus on this and it looks like I'll have plenty of time this weekend to devote to both projects.

PTSchram It is here.

The engine compartment and instrument panel are all disassembled and I'm removing the existing wiring harness and probably replacing it with one that hasn't been cut.

I'd expected to have it running last weekend but the extent of damage to the wiring harness was worse than I'd expected.

Fortunately, I have piles of virgin RRC engine wiring harnesses.

Once I get it running, I'll move on to the brakes. I'm leaning toward moving toward something more conventional than the RRC as locating the pump is going to be a challenge given the layout of the engine compartment, but given the positioning of the front shocks/suspension, there is precious little real estate on the bulkhead, but I'll figure it out.
