One day it will just show up.

Getting' there. You guys working on the rig this weekend?
We gonna see this thing in the dirt for the aug TREC race?

OK, a long time off. Sent the truck out to get the interior tricked out in black anodized aluminum:

Few more pics.
Got the steering pretty much nailed down (hopefully):
Running the tie rod between the upper and lower radius arm links was a tight fit but worked (That phrase is the official phrase of this entire build)
A couple more body pics:
And a couple cool toys came in:

My RRC SWB has D90 calipers on the front. Single lines weren't much of a challenge

Like PT said, I'm partial to sticking with pump assist over vacuum if possible.
The kicker is getting the pump to work w/out the ABS.
Hopefully, it's just a matter of getting power (electricity) to the right place.

|evilfij||D90 Master Cylinder on a Disco I pedal box and booster if you are running only single lines to the front.|

|LR Max||BTW this is pretty BAMF. I like it!|

|miniyota||love the build. i just read the whole thing.|

The pedal boxes have little to no discernable difference as far as master cylinder mounting is concerned. The bolt patterns are the same.
Brad and I discussed this topic yesterday and he prefers a brake system that is independent of engine vacuum.
I still have the WABCO pump in my SWB and so far don't see any reason to change. It works well for me with the D90 front calipers.

Simple way to find out?
If nothing else its a bolt in pedal box that doesn't have an ABS unit attatched, with which you can happily fuck about with different master cylinders till your happy with the results.

Also, not sure if Disco mc would pump enough fluid to properly squeeze quad piston calipers.

|DasLandRoverMan||A Disco pedal box of the same vintage should bolt in, and utilises a Vaccum servo and a nice simple twin circuit master.|

|ArmyRover||It uses a vacuum booster. Marty had a set a year ago doubt he still has it laying around though. I almost bought just to have spares.|

I hear there's a real asshole helping with tech this coming year.
|11-21-2012 08:50 AM|
This year, there are a few things that are being left alone that will be upgraded as Chad's (the truck's owner) wallet recuperates from the chassis build.
On the chopping block are the steering system (looking at rack & pinion) and the engine (he lusts after LS).

|ArmyRover||Brad, just pick up the brake booster and master for a RRC Hunter|
