mikeb273 Switching focus and calling the geo done is probably a good call! I know there have been a few times in my build that i have said "Why didnt i start from scratch instead of building from this bullshit". Problem is...by the time i realized this i was already in way to deep!

Mehhh.
Just get cracking on this plan...

Let's see...

You were never 100 percent happy with your steering.

Well. It broke.

You were never 100 percent happy with your engine.

Well. The clutch is fucked. Good excuse for a motor swap.

Sounds to me like the two things you could "upgrade" .

Now get on it!

keller well I think the Geo is done. the clutch exploded on one of the hardest trails at moonlight racing off road park.

getting g pulled out caused even more problems when we had to go I to a deep Vnotch causing me to get pulled around from the side ripping my tie rod in half. more damage came after that.

I'm done with this thing.

well the engine selection in the crew I wheel with used to look like this.

chevy 4.3
dodge 318
jeep 4.0
jeep 4.0
ford 302
then me 1.6 8V

now it looks like

Chevy 5.7
dodge 360
Chevy 5.7
jeep 4.0
ford 302 tuned - really runs better

and I'm really falling behind In the power range. allways been the under powered guy.

just hoping the 2.0 will get me up these big hills.

Are you running stock tcase gears in both? yes What gears in the diff? 5.89
Have enough power in the slick stuff? fuck no.

Planning to build mine fairly soon, just trying to figure out all the pieces before i cut it.

In my Geos defense on power,It has 200,000 miles on it and the guy that had it before me did woods racing with it. Then I got it on 33"s and beat the hell out of it TRYING to blow it up several times. Overheated it more times than I can count. And it just keeps running.

Factory power was 80HP at the crank. If I have half that anymore I would be surprised
