|Stevsie||Funny how you look over the little things when your doing the major stuff. Like throwing duel cases in and never even looking at the clutch and having it go out a week after.|

Been jammin on this thing like crazy.
Finally figured out why this thing was running so shitty. New plug wires and now she runs like a raped ape.
Recent updates: driveline finished, brake lines finished, new Pierburge fuel pump with nylon brained lines and Peterson filter, all new brake lines, power steering, limit straps, skid plate and rad mounts are getting laser cut, the sickest shackles ever created are in the works, lots of new hardware. Just need to finish some electrical and get the proper sending units for the gauges and we'll be out testing.

|BSI Yota||But yes the rack and pinion is a weak link on a newer truck. Never had to deal with them tho. I would like to upgrade my steering box at some point. Not quite sure what to do tho.|

Personally I've never had issues with the upper arm mounts but others have. There's massive amounts of leverage with the longer arms and 35's, the overall weight of the truck, and it's intended use. An offroad race is at least 200 miles of whoops and jumps and repeated heavy impacts. If it can fail it will fail lol.

This has got to be the coolest 2wd yota on Pirate. It might also be the only 4wd delete one too.
Keep the updates coming, I can't wait to see the jumping pics after completion.
Is the stock three bolts for the upper arm pivot really a weak point? I've hammered a stock IFS truck on 32's pretty hard, including some tough truck jumping and haven't had any issues with those mounting points.
Or, are the longer arms equaling added leverage, equaling extra precations?
Why in the hell would anyone want to convert from a 4wd Toyota box to a steering rack? Isn't the weak link in all the newer Toyota's the rack?

I'm not super pumper on these headlight sticks. They don't really have the right shape. I'll probably end up getting different ones or doing something else. Not terrible tho.
