BSI Yota The truck all prepped for its last desert trip. The truck did amazing up until the tundra rear end gave up. Broke both shafts and broke the carrier. Time a built 35 spline ford 9.

Stevsie Lookin good none the less

Stevsie Funny how you look over the little things when your doing the major stuff. Like throwing duel cases in and never even looking at the clutch and having it go out a week after.

BSI Yota Been jammin on this thing like crazy.

Finally figured out why this thing was running so shitty. New plug wires and now she runs like a raped ape.

Recent updates: driveline finished, brake lines finished, new Pierburge fuel pump with nylon brained lines and Peterson filter, all new brake lines, power steering, limit straps, skid plate and rad mounts are getting laser cut, the sickest shackles ever created are in the works, lots of new hardware. Just need to finish some electrical and get the proper sending units for the gauges and we'll be out testing.

Dude, I have to say the rig looks absolutely fanfreakingtastic! I've always loved the Tundra clip conversions. Way to be!

BSI Yota But yes the rack and pinion is a weak link on a newer truck. Never had to deal with them tho. I would like to upgrade my steering box at some point. Not quite sure what to do tho.

BSI Yota Thanks man.

Personally I've never had issues with the upper arm mounts but others have. There's massive amounts of leverage with the longer arms and 35's, the overall weight of the truck, and it's intended use. An offroad race is at least 200 miles of whoops and jumps and repeated heavy impacts. If it can fail it will fail lol.
