Yes, you got it, Ftoys just qualify for Mod Stock.

Or run in a qualifier, and run "the big race"

I think a lot of it is money and location. When we ran the west series in 2010, 3 of the 5 comps were 18 hours away. The first event cost me a grand in fuel alone. We just couldn't afford to compete the last 2 years in Cali and Az. The Utah events were fine because they were "close", meaning 5-7 hours away. There is an event put on in Delta Ut every may that has adopted an ftoy class, and we usually have 2-4 show, depending on other events in the area.

There is and always will be a Formula Toy class you just need more than one Formula Toy to show to have it.

WEROCK still cone dodging but also now has Dirt Riot Series - Formula Toy fits in just fine.

The last comp at Donner had one Formula Toy, but there was only 15 buggies competing total. We had one Donner comp where there was 16 Formula Toys competing.
No one wants to cone dodge anymore, everyone wants to go fast.

matzell It will be good to see more solid axle cars in the mod class, especially Toyota based. I plan on racing my 85 4runner in the race as well, on leaf springs of course!

I have been reading up in this forum to try to get ideas on how to go faster on leaf springs. Thanks for the ideas.

The smart thing to do would be to build your Formula Toy to be legal for both classes. I.E. Following WEROCK Formula Toy rules with the two added rules.
1. 37" DOT tires
2. one 14" x 2.5" shock per wheel.

Of course you have to follow all KOH safety rules.
sounds fair... I can certainly keep mine to those rules.

Just how many f-toys are actually a go for this prize?

Yep.. Planning on making the 2-3 day journey across the country to come out and race. Just tryin to do some prep work to make sure my rig is legal against the other f-toys..

Questions like:
Will there be a specific f-toy class (with prizes) for the existing f-toy rules? or are we all lumped into the existing Ultra4 modified class?

If so, are we going to be opened up to Ulra4 Modified rules? ex.. 37 DOT tires, open radiator position, 2 shocks per corner, any motor, tranny, any suspension, full hydro, ect?

If not. What is going to be allowed in the F-toy class. Same existing rules except rebuild-able shocks up to 14" with 2.5 body?

(Any tire size, NON-DOT, front radiator position, 1 shock per corner, leafs front and rear, toyota running gear, ect.. )
