Charlene Yes, the rest of the Pacific Series has been cancelled.

The word just got finalized over the weekend and I am updating everything right now... http://www.werocklive.com/2012/2012-event-schedule/

Why?

Two Reasons....

1. The locations were a challenge and Rich didn't feel comfortable with holding an event someplace he hadn't been able to see first to ensure a quality Dirt Riot event. The other locations that had been pre-seen weren't able to get permitting etc done by event date times.

2. The car count at the first one was 'less than desirable'. Each of these are first time events, but after trying to reach out to some of the Pacific driver group it didn't look like the dates that were available would work well either.

Not two Negatives, but two potential negatives = Should focus on Success for next year.

So...instead of the event next week, they are going to utilize the time to go and search out the event sites that have been previously mentioned and see if they are an acceptable match for Dirt Riot to hit the area successfully next year!

It is a bummer, but I'm supporting his decision...

Here is what I would be wondering...focused on next year now....

How many people from NorCal (the bay & sac) would be willing to participate in a Pacific Dirt Riot knowing that it is generally in the OR, WA area?
No doubt there are a lot of you around there.....

LarryS I'm glad you finally got a Washington location put together. You will be surprised at the turn-out Rich. The first event on that property that I went to amazed me me how many folks were there.

Can you give us a hint as to the course layout? Milage? Laps?

I wish Beau the best of luck with his series and someday hope to work the 2 series together if possible.

Thanks

Also, if you need any "on site help" before you guys get here, let us know. MAV is less than 30-minutes for me and I know there are a fair amount of people in this area what would be willing to help. I know you already have some, but if you need something. Post up!

Talking with Beau at the last race he mentioned you guys talked. I don't want to put words in his mouth but I got the feeling from him that the door is still open so hopefully you guys can combine forces in the future.

He's doing a (shorter) endurance race at M.A.V. as well to cap off his series in september. I hope to see MANY more events there for a long time to come. Its about time.

http://www.werocklive.com/category/schedule-dirt-riot/

8/10-8/11 has the new Monroe Adventure Park's big event, which should be supported as this would be Washington's first BIG private ORV park. I have a sneaky suspicion this is also one of the site's the Rich's are looking at.

8/11 is also the 4th race in the Best in the West series as Straddleline ORV park. Which a handful of local racers are in the Points Series.

Everything is getting stacked on top of each other, which is unfortunate.
