Good luck with the upgrades. Hope you finish it in time. Sounds like you are on the right track. What front axle are you using?

update: We have decided that we are going to push to get 4wd for the next race...We are not tearing the jeep apart until all the work is done on the parts. I believe moara first race is on the 28 and most of them are 2wd so it wont be so bad if they are running. We also have contingency plan. That DNF will not happen again.

If the work is not done then 2wd here we come.

Here is the list.

1. skids are ordered, truss ordered, control arm truss ordered,

2. The following is going to be done by Moab Offroad:

Custom Steering, Heims and DOM tubing, Re gear, Weld Shock brackets.

3. Team project:

Weld all brackets truss the axle c flanges, truss lower axle. Cycle suspension, install new cross member....

Up in the Air:

prep race truck for next race....(if we get everything done by next weekend we will be at the race with 4wd if not 2wd race prep will take place. and contingency plan will start.

I hope to get all the parts by this week if not Monday by the latest. Hectic for sure

771indy I was wondering were that explore came from. I thought he must have a hell of a motor. Looks like he just to the short cut across the middle. Good times

Sorry for the mud... but it was unavoidable

Inviscid Motorsports had a good race. We were running in 3rd for the first 90 minutes or so, and then the buggy just stalled and wouldn't restart. We sat on the side of the trail for almost 20 minutes (cars passed us twice), then the buggy decided to run again. We were on a mission the last 2 laps after it fired up again, but couldn't make up any ground. We ended up 5th out of 12.

My 200hp just can't catch Colville or Rosco when I get too far behind.

I'm still looking in to what made it stall, At this point I think the dist got wet, or the air filter was so packed with wet mud, it starved the engine. The mud dried out, and could flow air again.

il. prerunner just watched the video over and i was thinking a different hill along the creek. This hill was more by the rock quary it looks like? I got stuck with Dan in the Eagle over on the other end of the park I think. The steep hill top reminded me of the other hill. 2wd is hard to do at the races and there are many times I have wanted to convert the truck to 4wd. I cant think of any 2wds that have not gotten stuck at some point at the park.

I run some old brigestone mts or bfg km 2 mt tires and they work pretty good. Don't feel bad about getting stuck where you did, I think that is the same area that I got stuck (and over heated and pulled the front tire off the bead) in my first race but we were going the reverse direction from that.
Did you make it UP that hill in 2wd?? I'm impressed! I dont remember that... When are we gonna see you guys again for a race?
