Having searched the forums, google image search, and read an article on nissan rear ends, It would appear to me I have an H233B rear end. All good and fine.
What confuses me is that I have an '93 D21 I4 (ka24e) 4x4 and I would have sworn an old nissan guy told me that they were only C200 rear ends.
So: Do I have a H233B? If so, would it have to have been swapped in after the fact?

I do recall my rear axle was HG43, which would suggest an H233b diff.
I guess what confuses me is all the info I found on the internet appears to be wrong, because most people say only 95-97 D21's had H233b w/ HG43, but my door jam sicker say my D21 was made in 1992 and came factory with HG43.
There were 3 axles used in the Hardbody. The 4x2 4-banger got the H190, which is similar to the H233 but smaller. The 4-banger 4x4 got the C200 up until 1/92. All V6 got the H233, and the H233 was used in all trucks after 7/93.
However, if your axle code on the door jamb under the hood over the passenger fender says HG43, that's an H233 regardless.
I guess I lucked out getting the H233 on my '92/'93.
Thanks for all the help everyone,
