Nissan Terrano c200 LSD worn
Hi from the uk
So my c200 rear axle LSD is behaving like an open diff I changed LSD oil a few times and the plates are definately worn I priced up new clutches and they came to over £1000 lol Can I place a couple of shims in to increase friction ? I'm thinking one per side of say 0.5mm as the standard plates are 1.6mm thick and a 0.5 mm shim placed either side next to the spring plate might shove them up enough to get some friction back on the worn clutches ? What do you think ? |

Yes you can. We do it to H223b (GQ Patrol axle) regularly. Just don't put too much shim in it or it will act like a welded diff.

It stinks of kiwis and limeys in here.
If You aint got the quid for new....As soon as you buy and install new parts they become used parts, good used parts but used. Go buy a good used part... And go fuck a blender
