Hello all. I have a Nissan Truck (D21) 2.4l (KA24E I4) with a manual transmission (FS7W71C) and h233b rear end that has a 2" block lift under the leaves in the rear.
Since I bought this truck, it has been eating up carrier bearings, and 'jumps', or 'bucks' at takeoff in 1st gear, unless I release the clutch REALLY slowly. My suspicion is that I've 'lost' a few millimeters in driveline 'length' due to the angle, and the carrier bearing is being pulled rearwards and/or stretching the rubber housing further than it should be.
My questions: Do I need to relocate my carrier bearing rearwards/downwards for such a small lift, or do I have other issues at play (bad bushings allowing for too much rear end/suspension play perhaps...)?
I've posted it here instead of general because I would be especially interested to other Nissan owners personal experiences.
Thanks for the help!
