ok a friend has a 88 nissan 4x4, it had a z24i in it, started knocking so he pulled it out an put in a carbed z24 well befor it was running he sold the carb, z24i timing cover ect ect. so he but on the tbi but the dist wont fit so he needs a z24i timing cover but will 1 off say a 91 hardbody 2.0L fit?? i aint a nissan guy so thought i would ask the pro's sense the jackass fucked up an got rid of ever thing befor the motor was in:mad3:
I think the Z20 timing cover is shorter than the Z24 cover. If I recall correctly Z20s have the same deck height as L20Bs. The valve cover makes a dent in the hood of a 510 if you put a Z24 block in it with an L series head. That's the only reason I sorta remember a difference. lol
I have a stack of Z24 timing covers. Even have a muddy one with a distributor on it. $30 + shipping.
