window regulator

Hi I am posting this for a friend who owns a 2001 xterra. The window regulator broke on in his front passanger side window 2 months ago and it was fixed under warranty. Now it has expired and now the window doesn't work on the rear passanger window. The dealer wants $400 to fix it. I have heard that the window regulators in the xterra break often. Is this true? How hard would it be to fix it on his owm? Thanks a lot for the help.

they are not hard at all. pull the old one out, and put the new one in the way the old one was pretty self explanatory...but not bad at all
