Should be an H233b and it's the best axle Nissan has built. This has a 233 mm diameter ring (9 1/3")and it's bigger than a 8" Toy's and pretty close to a Dana 44 in overall resistance.

they are really strong...still not worth much if you are tring to sell it though, parts are $$$

Hmmh, interesting. Thank you very much for that info.
I'm looking at one out of an 89 pathfinder for less than $100. I'm debating whether it'd be a good swap into my 90 Toyota. The big diff and the disc brakes looked attractive, but I think that shaft size is actually smaller than a Toy shaft. |

Probarbly more than it would cost to toss a dana 70 under it .. the motor and box are fawking heavy (Gearbox and t/case weigh in @ around the 220Kg mark ... )
No idea what the 4.2 diesal weighs .. apparently it is about the same as the 6.X diesal V8 from the humvee |
