engine swap ? on transmisions

here is whats going on right now I have a vg30i and I am getting ready to do a swap to a vg30et will my transmision a 5spd mate to that engine? If not any one have a vg30e tranny out of a 95 se v6 with the t case.

I ain't got an answer to your question, but what is the difference in the engines? What's better about one over the other?

Way different engine with tons of power from what I remember, or was that a det? I don't know, but they might match up close enough to work together.

TRed... sure you're not mixing up the VG30DET? D = twin cam. Motor was used in the later 300ZX (Z32 Chassis).

The earlier motors:
VG30i = path finder or truck V6, throttle body
VG30e = same, but port injected
VG30et = injected, turbo'd.

I'm thinking all three of those engines had the same tranny behind them. It wasn't until the DET or DETT that the transmission was really beefed up... but those were 300ZX only power plants, no 4x4 version.
