quick q's from the new guy here
What's the stock front diff in the IFS pickups? (neighbor lost the spider gears in his while driving in the snow) Any 6 cyl Nissan diesel turbo setups around? (TD33 I think) With automatic?

It's an older 4 banger with early married trans/case (not sure the year and he's not home to check) I guess for the diesel I'll have to check out Nissan 810s and Maximas in Canada or tractors. Looking for one with Aisan Warner trans to install a turbo SD33 into a Jeep XJ (don't want the IH 727 setup)

I just found out it's an '89 and was originally a gas V6 motor with 5 speed not 4 cyl. The diesel was swapped in illegally (under emission laws) and he had to have it reregistered with a title from a 4 cyl diesel rig. (I went by the VIN that it was 4 cyl)

That would spec an RC43 front diff unit, which is an R200a w/ 4.375 gears. The R180 is an RBxx unit.
FYI, pics of an R180 can be seen here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2454995557 Brent Last edited by XterraGuy; 01-19-2004 at 10:40 AM. |

That's funny, that Ebay R180 still had the CV inner tripod joint housings attached to it. Someone had to pull pretty hard to get those apart. That thing looks so much smaller than a R200. Crazy.
