92 Infiniti Q45 cuts off !!!!
Ok my 92' infiniti runs anywhere from 30 second to a few minutes and shuts off. I checked and cleaned the battery cables positive and ground its still doing it. I'll check the cables further upstream in the morning but could it be anything else ??? The message center has said a few times "low battery voltage" when it cuts out but i busted out the voltmeter and the battery reads fine even when it shuts off Grrrrr
Any ideas. or has anybody else had this problem.

you should try to recieve the codes from the computer. It is probly in the manual, and will be a series of flashing lights. This will tell you what the computer thinks is wrong.

Check if the fuel pump is cutting off before or after the car stalls. I know a lot of early fuel injection systems will run the fuel pump for several reasons. If the key is to "Start" it will run the pump always, but in the "Run" position it will kill the fuel pump if the engine stalls (based on RPMs) or if the oil pressure is too low. Another possibility is that the engine is only running off the cold start injector and the main injectors are firing at all.
Get friendly with a multimeter, wiring schematic, and fuel pressure gauge. "noid" lights are available at most autostores. CP |

What's with the capitalization of every word? :P
Another thing that can go wrong that will cause that is the ignition coil transformer going out. Although mine is an 88, I'm pretty sure later models could have the same thing happen to them.
