? Best Spark Plugs
Its about time to change my plugs on an 02' V-6 X-terra and thought I'd ask everyone's opinion on what plug they thought where the best for this application. I thought I'd put NGK but not sure. Thanks.

I used standard copper NGK's when I changed mine out on my 01 X. The bosch platinums that I had put in there 2 months earlier kept giving me misfires and setting off my check engine light. Put in the NGK's and no problems since. I ordered my plugs from this site.
www.clubplug.net The NGK plug number that you want is BKR5ES-11. Don't forget to changer your cap and rotor while your at it. Axle

nissan/datsun parts for 20+ yrs,put in what came in the truck, from the dealer they are pre gapped, the ngk plug that came from the factory is the best plug for that vehicle, bosch is for german cars, ngk or nippon denso are japanese, nissan has used ngk plugs always!since it's start!why mess with something that has been perfected by the mfg.ive got a 90 sentra and two toyota landcruisers, always keep at least the electronics factory, always!!

I agree, NGK only....and I go with the colder range that Nissan recommends for the VG33 to assist with pinging. I have run bosch platinums because it's all I had and needed to change, but went right back to NGK...

Yup, I put copper NGK V-power plugs in to replace the original NGK platinum plugs partly for that reason. Mine had the single-tip ones with a 60K replacement interval, hell of a lot cheaper to replace the copper plugs twice as often for about 1/3-1/4 the cost (other reason). The 6th plug isn't fun, but it's not too bad.
NGK has since come out with a value platinum line that is just a tad more expensive than the V-power line, and I called them to ask about them and was told they're just as good and last just as long as the premium platinums. Brent |
