Just thought some of y'all would like to know this, I got an e-mail
from beartooth that the Marlin stainless steel safety delete's
are now ready. Still a few weeks out on the blued steel (what I'm waiting for).
Here is the link
The most atrocious, unsightly, fugly as shit safety ever designed, was made by Rossi/Puma/Taurus and put on the Model 92 lever action rifle. :barf:
I'm ok with my Marlin safety, but that saddle ring sure looks bad ass on them:smokin:
I'm trying to find a picture of m92 safety.
EDIT: Here is a picture of a Rossi/Puma/Taurus, Moodel 92 safety.
dont know why... lots of guns, pistols specifically, do not have safeties.
edit: unless its some new hippie tree hugger brady campaign sissy ass bedwetter gun control nanny state facist orwellian barbara streisand law that just passed....
Steve Gunz (Steve Young) is a genius with Rossi/Puma/Taurus lever guns, hes BIG into CAS shooting. He posts and lurks quite a bit on Paco Kelly's Lever gun forum. http://levergunscommunity.com/
I have the beartooth saddle ring on my 1895. Its a stout mofo.... especially if you get ride of the saftey selector spring and bearing thing and swap it out with the longer allen headed all-thread bolt they provide.
Lets put it this way.... I would be willing to try tying it to a rafter by the ring and then dangling from the rifle like a monkey at the zoo... but i'd be more worried about breaking the stock at that point than the saddle ring budging.
Just got this so I figured I'd throw a picture of it on here. Beartooth Mercantile blued saddle ring. It took all of 5 minutes to put it in. Now to throw a single point sling on it so I can't drop it while trying to shoot pigs from a helo
I get to do the paper work on my very own guide gun (not stainless) later this week. Woo hoo.
Now to buy some bullets to load....
