1911 mags of course

I still need to figure out what I want to do for sights/optics as max range is about 100 yards im thinking. Would also like to pick up a 1911 for ammo/mag compatibility for serious zombie apocalypse points. If only my Sig would take 1911 mags.

as far as SHTF and zombie stuff goes, having a rifle and pistol that take the same ammo and mags is pretty damn niffty, if you ask me. i always wanted one of the 45ACP camp carbines.

Did you use the same bolt/bolt face, with the bolt face/extractor claw opened up 0.007?

Or does the .473 bolt face work on the 45 rim?

Edit: I looked up some stuff... $150/160 (Large/Small ring) for a complete kit. I might have to do this, I have some badass small ring receivers sitting around.

That's slick rick. If you don't like the stock, check out the home done camo thread. You don't have to camo it, but they will walk you through how to repaint yer stock.

Some light load lead rounds I was shooting out of my pistol at 100yds couldn't puncture an old metal sink. You should be able to squeeze a little more out of your setup. You could see the bullet arc though

I keep wanting to get a carbine setup in 45, not sure why though.

I actually have a Turk Mauser action that I have put back for this exact same reason. Now that Rhineland seems to be back up and running, I need to get off my ass and order the kit.

OAL 1.260" v. 1.600

Case diameter 0.473/0.476 v. 0.480

Rim diameter 0.480 v. 0.512

If you're thinking of converting a Mauser or something else (Enfield?) to 45c it'd be as simple as reaming the chamber appropriately, modifying your bolt face, and figuring out a magazine.
