Both, I shot 20 rounds through it a few days ago and decided I didn't like the stock front rail. So I went with the YHM floater instead and put my Trijicon 1-4 on it.
![]() ![]() Yeah the little riser that comes with the H1 is kinda stupid looking.

Dammit
ok I gues this will be what my FAL-15 wood will be going on. I want to build a "hunting" AR aand it seems the 300 will fit the bill. So pretty much any of the 16" barrels on the market do not suck? or who has a 14.5 besids Noveske? thats a little too steep.

Shit, I have a spare BCG and CH already. I might have missed it on the sale add but is that a stainless steel barrel? It looks like it, but just wanted to make sure. Lastly will any low profile gas block work with this upper? I have a spare Free float rail that I would use with this too.

I was going to get a DPMS comp low mount for the build but a SS barrel and the upper costs more than their assembled one ![]() what would produce better accuracy? that SS one from DSA or the E.R. Shaw barrel from model one sales?

I have one of the SS ones. DSA comments are along the lines of it's the highest quality barrel they've ever sold (in response to inquiries about the quality of the the muzzle threading and such).
I haven't had a chance to shoot it much. I also have the forming/trim die on a XL650 with RL1200B ready to rock and roll. Just need bullets, powder and some time to play. Last edited by atblis; 01-03-2012 at 01:48 PM. |

I am planning on starting a .300 build as a hunting rifle for my son. I was interested in the Delta and one of these.
http://www.blackholeweaponry.com/cat...5921a362ef93cb Anyone have any experience with them? |

So lets see some loads you guys have made.
And all we are talking about is a new barrel. Then neck up some 223 brass to .308? Use some 175 SMKs? r GKs I guess.

I don't know how Model 1 gets their barrels from ER shaw, but I have a 6.8spc stainless barrel that was chambered, profiled, and fit with an extension by shaw and it shoots the lights out.

Ok so the .223 brass gets cut at the shoulder and then necked down. Still pretty straight forward.
Which of course has me thinking, if just cut off at the shoulder, isn't that about a 40 cal? Hmmmmm, .400 Whisper
