I use once fired 223. Cut at the shoulder, then neck it up to a .30cal and trim. My current load is

110g v-max
18.8g H110
small rifle primers
2.068 OAL

2300FPS and some change.

You are forgetting about this little thing called ballistic coefficient. 300 blk with 155 g scenars would, rule

You start losing case capacity and velocity pretty quick with the longer bullets. 150s seem to be at 1900ish fps.

175 are the lightest subsonic bullet you can use to cycle correclty. I use 180's and they work like a champ.

Yea, and the email said that they would not charge me until the items ship. I threw an AR carbine buffer tube kit on the order and it looks like that is out of stock as well.

You're giving up 400+ fps. The 155s don't catch up fast enough to be of any use. 110-125 gr or heavy and subsonic. Anything in between doesn't really work.

It is listed as a chrome moly barrel, therefore I am assuming that it is not chrome lined. Typically when barrels are listed liek this they are not chrome lined, I could be mistaken though.

This would be sweet!!! but there arent really any comonly availible rifle bullets in that size, at least not like .308

uh...you do realize that 300blk is 308 caliber, right?

I mentioned the 155 scenars because of their good BC but I forgot about cycling the action on an AR... Ooh well 220 RN's it will be for most people.

If I did get around to getting a 300blk I guess ill probably stick with the 180's due to my current stockpile of them Hahabahahahaha

Since my order is on back order I decided to add a low profile gas block to the order, so that I could use a spare free float tube on the upper. I emailed in my request and DSA replies back that they will have the gunsmith install the gas block when the upper comes in. I reply that I want the gas block separate so that I can install it when I install the FF tube. To which DSA replies back "Our Gas blocks are not sold separately, the gunsmith will only supply it as an installed part."

Kind of strange, but whatever. guess it will just motivate me to install the FF as soon as I get the upper so that I can put sights on it to shoot it.

Anyone ever used anything from them? They have a 14.7" stainless and 16" barrel in stock for $249.

Been looking at their barrels and thinking about one. I deffiniteley want a carbine length gas setup instead of the pistol length gas setup. I believe Noveske are the ones that offer both gas lengths... Pistol length gas setup for subsonic only ???
