I'm interested in your review, 'cause that's my standard summer attire when I'm working.

Well, go figure - 80's the last 2 weeks, and I step outside for lunch and it's mid 60's today... hmmph.
I'll make it a point to wear it on some hotter days as soon as we get them and report back.

I've done it during Houston summer. It is warmer, but I didn't feel as sweaty as normal (clingy wet shirt, etc.). When I took the shirt off, my skin felt a bit weird, especially in the padded areas. It takes a bit of getting used to, but believe it is a good option for those who can't/don't want to carry in another way.

$60 isn't bad if it is a decently made kilt. Might have to try one.

I've never inspected first hand but I believe that's the proper way to wear one...

I wear 5.11 button downs all the time. Usually with a t-shirt and either IWB or OWB holsters. I have six of the 5.11 "bowling shirts" that aren't meant to be tucked. All of them have a real button at the top, but the rest are cleverly disguised snaps.
And if I'm wearing something big, like the Glock 20 or 21, I just leave the shirt unbuttoned and let it fall where it will.
