Girl needs a shotgun... but a lefty

You guys know of any semi-auto shotguns with left hand ejection and in the 24-26" barrel, and 20 gauge flavor?

I know Benelli makes left hand semi autos, dunno if they make a 20 gauge though. You can get 870s in lefty as well, again, dunno if they make a 20 gauge, and they are pump guns.

My son has a 1100 20lH Remington but I don't believe they were made for very long.
Is this for the woman with the smelly vag? That could get interesting

Just handled 2 benelli lh 20ga guns at shot show yesterday. One was a montefeltro and I'm not sure if the other was also or might have been a different/similar model.

My wife has a 20ga monte at home and absolutely loves it. Very nice light gun with minimal recoil. She uses it for dove/quail.

Any reason for left hand eject?

Only to charge the shotgun with the left hand?

I'm left handed, and have had no issue with any "right handed" shotgun.

Same here. I'm ambidextrous in shooting and everything else but writing and have never noticed a difference in shooting right handed guns on my left side.
Actually, I don't know that after all these years of always charging with my right hand if I could adapt to shooting a left handed gun.

Anyway, I don't recall ever seeing a spent case or shell across my line of sight.

I've never had any issues with the spent shell across my line of sight, but I have had a facefull of unburnt powder with some shitty shells before.. Doesn't do your complexion a bit of good..

Shes been shooting before and hates having shells being thrown at her. Might as well try and find a left handed shotgun and do it right the first time.

Think buffered steel into the wind. It's the only reason I do shot a LH Benelli.

I don't know of any semi-auto's with left eject. What about an Over/Under or if she wanted a pump something like a Browning BPS with bottom eject?

O/U with a good recoil pad out of the question?

Otherwise go over to www.shotgunworld.com and see what you can find out. I haven't been on there for a while but I know that there were quite a few women on there at one time. They could point you to a LH gun and maybe give the woman's perspective.

S12 is not an option for her... or any other saiga for that matter. The main reason for a semi-auto is because of the reduction in felt recoil because shes fairly recoil sensitive so to speak... give her a few rounds through a 12 guage pump and she'll be done for the day and bruised up.

As for the Over/Under... I think its a great idea and what I would have suggested first but its always worth asking if there was a semi auto that fit her needs just to make it easier on her.

One shotgun that stands out as a very do-able option for her is the CZ Redhead Youth model. Particularly the reduced length of pull... keep the mass closer to her and she'll have an easier time shouldering it and keeping it up. Shes 5'3" and weighs in at 100lbs on average (seen her at 95... seen her at 105... either way shes little). Figure I could put a limbsave recoil pad on that and itd be almost as good as a semi auto.

My SO has shot a Benelli SBE with a Limbsaver recoil pad, 2 3/4", 3", 3 1/2" (I know that doesn't apply for you), turkey loads all day any day for the past 10 years.

5'3 105?

We need to see some pictures.

20g in a non-semi auto is a world away from 12g in a non-semi auto.

Defensive use, or hunting?

Magazine restrictions where she's at?

Shotgun will be exclusively for trap/skeet/clay and maybe eventually some small bird hunting. Shes here in CO so shes free to have whatever the hell she wants.

Wont post any pics... shes a hottie for sure but her husband probably wouldn't appreciate it.

Two weeks ago I fondled a 20ga 1100 left hander at the gun show and was pissed it wasn't a righty for my daughter.

Ithaca model 37 is the closest to things I have seen.
I am not sure I've seen a left hand shotgun. I know lots of lefties and they all shoot right handed shotguns.

By nature about all shotguns are ambidextrous as far as function (unless it is a bolt action). Pumps, autos, double barrel, single shot, etc. function the same either right or left handed. The only problem is guns that have a cross block safety on the trigger guard that you have to push from right to left to select fire.

Mossberg 500 and a few others have an ambidextrous.

Remington has made a lot of LH 1100's over the years. You can usually find them fairly cheap at gunshows. Also, CZ makes a great shotgun. Have you considered 28Ga?

The Ithica is a copy of the original browning that the BPS evolved into.

The BPS has a thumb saftey, bottom feed and eject.

It's a great gun for us lefties.

Recoil reduction stock, my wife is 5' nothing 130lbs. For that matter they make recoil reduction stocks for quite a few popular models........
