I've seen the AR versions featured in a couple promo videos from mega machine and they seem to function flawlessly

x2 on the HK style. AFAIK this is one of the most reliable drum mag designs out there.

Yeah I just went ahead and cut a hole in the back wall of my garage so I can shoot ma guns when ever I get bored. Yeah I wear a flak vest just in case (it's the old style flak vest not bullet proof)

No 1st hand experience.
I would love one for the FAL, but at almost $300 a pop I could pick up 6x40rd mags and be ahead of the game.

I'd imagine the company that makes these has the best salesmen in the world. Especially in regards to the HK crowd.

That's my problem. All the videos and info posted are for HK firearms. The only video I've seen so far with the M1A there is a jam. I dunno its just an idea I'm toying with.

Belt fed HK are notoriously unreliable. Especially the older ones with the fixed feed trays. You can call up Michael's Machines and get a belt fed HK in 5.56 or 7.62 for an easy 12,000.00 though.

Well all things concerned it really is just a novelty item. However a really cool novelty item at that. If I do buy one it will without a doubt get busted out often. I'de be willing to bet I'll still use my 10 and 20 round sticks a whole Hell of a lot more often though! This really is my main rifle at the moment. It was a Rock River AR15 for awhile there, but I ended up selling that & picking up this.

What were you expecting? Aren't Korean 20rd magazines still fairly reasonable? Are G3 magazines too wide to fit into the M14/M1A well?

There is no max in ND. If one really wanted to you could mount a beta c, and go hump the woods. When I used to carry the AR I always left a 20 in. With this rifle I always keep the 10 in and there's a 20 in my door..
I guess I'm not really expecting anything? Other than it better feed good!
