Ar 15 upper Questions

Shop near me has a Stag Arms 1H upper. I cant find any info on them( besides from there web site and one thread on m4carbine.net. What is the general consensus on buying one and how it performers and the company over all. I plan it use my gun for learning how a AR works and getting familiar with it. the next one will be more for home defense and tactical training (not all gun ho just a good course on using my AR better. Any help will be great.


and my lower is a NFA lw15 polymer lower.

Stag makes good stuff. Not super high end, but not super low end either.

It'll work for what you want to do.

Let me guess....they recommend LaRue, Daniel Defense, LMT, Noveske, etc? Anything else will blow and kill you?

Save your money if you are new to ARs. Build one to find out what YOU like/dislike, then change (or build a new one) as needed.

That is what I said i wanted to do and people gave me shit.. i was like WTF sorry I'm not a fanboy like you guys. apparently to them the polymer lowers are the devil.. I think ill stick with the good ole PPB for my AR questions in the future.

I have a Stag upper right now. I have about 3-400rds of *gasp* steel cased Wolf ammo through it with no malfunctions as well as ~80rds of Remington UMC during a 3 gun match, also with no malfunctions...

Anyway, depending on the price of that Stag upper, you could probably do a bit better with this one:

I just went with this except it wasn't the lightweight. Seems fine so far.

In that case, the palmetto unit will be more durable in the long run, be a bit lighter, and the midlength gas system will be a little smoother in the recoil department.

I have a Spikes, Wilson, DPMS, and a Smith. Disassembled, I couldn't tell you the difference between them.

imo Ar!% is a joke i cant navigate the site and its design sucks. M$carbine is just meh good info if you need a 5k AR. PBB best all around lol

cheap stag products,
I received mine in under 2 weeks.
my first one was a flat top stag flat top 3h
after 4000 rounds I sold it and got a stag 1h

neither liked steel cased tulammo.
about one aou of 100 would stay in the chamber.

but both worked flawlessly wih brass.

I really like stag products, low price but great quality products
nothing fancy but super reliable

have you guys ever tried http://www.parallaxtactical.com/store/ their local to me and helped me out alot great guys and most are active duty marines that work there. website shows allot of stuff out of stock so call them they probably have it or can get you the ETA on it.
