hahaha, thats just fugly

I wouldnt mind having something like the S&W500, but then again... i dont want to spend 5 dollar per trigger pull either

I was thinking about the heritage rough rider, but i would like something effective for self defense too. (Sure, 22mag will stop most people... but how many shots do you need)

I am pretty sure that they have a 9 shit version in .22 mag. I think 45lc is a good suggestion. I think Chris has stated before that you can get mouse fart loads and high power loads (but only ruger can handle the high power loads).

If I was in your shoes I would be looking at a 357. 38 are nice and light and there are hot enough 357s to do everything you listed. Plus you can buy the ammo for it damn near anywhere that sells ammo, fairly cheap.

Five screw S&W. Might as well buy a collectible shooter. Unless you are specifically looking for single action.
