I would buy the most expensive one you can afford. What Ive found in this game of guns is you get what you pay for.

They're not. Wonderful revolvers. The strength argument over GP100 vs L frame S&W has been going on for a long time. Fact is they are both strong enough to deal with all the sane & semi sane loads a sane or semi sane person would care to put through them and probably outlast said person.

Never heard the N frame thing before, though...

If you want a great shooter, it is going to sit in a safe, and you don't care too much about price, Smith and Wesson Masterpiece, or Registered Magnum. No question about it.

Sanity is overrated anyway.

No question, if I had to buy a brand new .357 revolver today it would be the Ruger. The new Smiths just don't do a lot for me, and it's not about the strength.

The older ones now...

All right.. I guess I worded it wrong. I ment that you should buy the highest quallity gun you can afford. And as far as me you dont know anything about what I think is awesome or not. I just know that I have bought a low end pistol and got burned by the manufacturer.

I would agree with you if were talking about guns well known to be junk. I don't think you are going to have that problem with most modern guns. There is a few I can think of, though.
