I would buy the most expensive one you can afford. What Ive found in this game of guns is you get what you pay for.

They're not. Wonderful revolvers. The strength argument over GP100 vs L frame S&W has been going on for a long time. Fact is they are both strong enough to deal with all the sane & semi sane loads a sane or semi sane person would care to put through them and probably outlast said person.

Never heard the N frame thing before, though...

The only problem with the top one is that it's way over priced at the moment. As for the rest, what's wrong with insanity?

Attachment 665093

I want to add a snubby .38, and a .22 to the family

If you want a great shooter, it is going to sit in a safe, and you don't care too much about price, Smith and Wesson Masterpiece, or Registered Magnum. No question about it.

Sanity is overrated anyway.

No question, if I had to buy a brand new .357 revolver today it would be the Ruger. The new Smiths just don't do a lot for me, and it's not about the strength.

The older ones now...

I never said guns where toys. But I did refer to the market for guns is a game. This manufacturer over here has a fancier gun than this one etc. But the one that costs more usually is better made and has better customer service.

What makes a $900 HK any better or different than a $450 Glock? How about a $1100 Kimber that needs aftermarket work to run right over a $400 RIA that eats anything out of the box. Dealers love guys like you, "It's more expensive, it must be more awesomer!"

All right.. I guess I worded it wrong. I ment that you should buy the highest quallity gun you can afford. And as far as me you dont know anything about what I think is awesome or not. I just know that I have bought a low end pistol and got burned by the manufacturer.

I would agree with you if were talking about guns well known to be junk. I don't think you are going to have that problem with most modern guns. There is a few I can think of, though.

Money does buy quality, up to a certain point. After that, money buys a name.

How much? I wouldn't mind another Model 28 to match the one I inherited from my grandpa!

I have to disagree, I've proven that wrong myself many times, while a newb to revolvers I'm not a newb to firearms at all.

I guess...whatever that term actually means. I dont mind paying money for shit that works, and I tend to base what I buy off of past experience with certain manufacturers.
