This S&W vs. Ruger debate reminds me alot of the Corvette vs Ferrari debate.

Yes, the ferrari is better than the Corvette........ By about 10%.

But, The Ferrari costs more than the Corvette.....By about 90%.

I've got a S&W model 13(3" heavy barrel/round butt) that I can carry under a t-shirt. I love the fuckin' thing. I also got a 7.5" barreled super blackhawk. I love the fuckin' thing and when I get a little more confident with hand loading, I plan on using it for any hot loaded shit that I might come up with.

Personally I would pick up a used model 65 smith and wesson through S.O.G. We sell them at the shop I work at for ~$400. I love mine. Best bang for the buck in my opinion.

Rugers are a great buy also. Just get a ruger or a smith and you will be happy.

Wife tried a new 357 Ruger Sp101 stainless 2" and she liked the grip/feel,
so she went home with one. The store had them on sale for 429 + tax. It's
really a nice CCW revolver.

It is also the first "New" ruger I ever bought.

Carry a Redhawk for a while. The GP100 suddenly becomes all sorts of svelte and petite. It's like going from a 12 gauge pump to a .410 SxS

Hijack: I have large hands, why does a Blackhawk frame feel so much better than a Bisley? Is it just my preference or does the Blackhawk frame just "fit" large hands better?

BTW, I passed up a $350 Blackhawk a couple of weeks ago. Blued, good bore, low round count. I can't think of a single reason why I didn't buy it, but I wish I had.

Bisley's are significantly better at handling heavy recoil.

I can make a 6" a 4"...They didn't have any 4 inchers where I purchased this. I did get it for 565.00 which I think is a pretty good price.

I took it out after that photo and before dry firing it. What problems does it cause?

The firing pin gets buried in the plastic pretty good. I looked online to find out why this yellow "snap cap" was so shitty, I found out through the Ruger forum that it is NOTa snap cap and was unhealthy for my firing pin. DOH! I had no idea it wasn't a snap cap type of deal, I wish they had stamped it on the dang yellow disk for tards like me =
