Have not seen this yet....

Wow, with that long of a barrel, it looks kinda fugly. But a shorter barrel would be tough to control with this round maybe.

Anyone seen ballistics on this round through a handgun? I would think that they would be pretty impressive. Something like a .40 maybe?

I shot one of the revolvers once. It was a flame throwing son of a bitch. Fun to shoot though.

You can't go wrong with an M1 Carbine! I have enjoyed mine for many years... glad I got it back in the early 90's before they got all crazy priced!!!

Two of our three are stamped "General Motors" on the barrels. Found this hiding in a corner too...

If they were ever made new again, I think they should be made in .44 magnum, or .45 colt.

I do know it is a USMC issue. I remember it being a lot of fun to shoot.

Ruger made a .44 carbine. My father owns one that I take out some a shoot. Awesome little rifle. This is not his, just a quick pic off the net of one.

I've got a Ruger Deerslayer also. They are a fun shooter. Haven't shot mine in quite a while.

I'm aware of that, but some people like the M1 carbine favor. The forged M1 reciever is more expensive to make.

I'll try to get a picture of the one my dad uses for a truck gun. Last time I saw it, it looked like it had just come from active service in WWII. Dried mud, a little surface rust, weathered and rough wood.

BUT, that's what he bought it for.

I'm in. Plan for 4:00 at my place.

If anybody wants to join us, we'll be shooting at the Rancho Cordova shooting center.

They are open until 8 on Wednesdays.

I firmly believe every gun should be used, I'm not much on wall hangers. In the same vein, stashing one in a safe for 35 years is also a waste.

I got one of these, and LOVE IT! Very accurate and impressive to fire.

Does not like the cheap .30 carbine rounds though.

The Automag V is .50 caliber. Would like to find one of those bad boys.
