Marlin Glenfield 75

I'm having a hell of a time finding much for this gun in way of parts. mainly looking for a stock. cleaning out some of my passed grandads stuff found it with a broken stock. ie missing 7/8s of the stock passed the trigger. in my research it looks like glenfield 60 parts will work too.

anyone know where I could locate a wooden stock for less than $50?

looks just like a Marlin model 60.

plenty of aftermarket model 60 stocks out there.

External parts for the Marlin 60 will work. Depending on year of manufacture, some of the internal parts are slightly different.

When looking for parts they sometimes label them old and new style. The new style is 1985+ (lsho). The Glenfield line was discontinued in 82 or 83, so yours would be the "old style". 100 minus the first two digits of the serial # should tell you the year. ie your number is 25, 100-25=1975. On top of the 60 line-up they also had.

Marlin had the 99m1 which was designed to look like an m1, had a 9 shot capacity, and barrel band.

Glenfield had the 75 which was the same as the 99m1 but didnt have the top wood infront of the receiver.

Both marlin and glenfield also had a 75c. That was basically a carbine length model 60 (an inch shorter than current production 60's), with I think a 13 rd capacity.

For a factory stock I would look on rimfirecentral for someone's old one, the boyd's stocks are nice too.

finally found a stock its for a model 60 and looked pretty rough. so had to do some fitting and sanding. thought about staining it, but decided to hit it with some spray bomb.

Im really liking the balance and weight of the gun. i may have found my new favorite squirrel killer for this fall.
