I had an old Witness. It was dead reliable, I could feed it anything and it never failed to fire or feed. The problem I had was accuracy, I couldnt hit a 10" plate from 10 yards and neither could anyone else that shot it.
I have heard from other people that they are tack drivers so I must have had a bad one. |

I'm in the same boat. Been looking at 1006's and delta elites. I have heard the kimber 10mm has reliability problems. Lots of nighthawk 10mm for a pretty penny

colts way out of my price range. thought about a 1911 but didn't know they came in a 10mm and most are out of my price range anyways. i was honestly looking for another sig. either a 226 or a 220 but their caliber choices don't include anything i don't already own.

I'm not a big Glock fan(although I own two), but if I had a 10mm, it would be a Glock. If I were limited to just one caliber, it would be 10mm. The only other 10mm i would even think about is the Dan Wesson. The Smiths and Colts both had issues with the frame cracking after using high pressure loads(or so the rumor was), the glock will allow you to take full advantage of the reloading spectrum of the 10mm. If you don't reload, you need to if you are going to shoot 10, other wise just pick up a 40 and you can get most of the same performance out of factory loads. If you load your self(or buy from Chris), you can make some big power with 10

I've got a couple and I am a fan, but I really like my Sig's more. What I was rolleyes at was this: " all the glocks i shot had issues". Sounds more like somebody has limp wrists.

They definitely arent for everybody.... i have a hard time getting used to plastic guns... personally dont like them either based off shooting a few different models.
Edit: after figuring out the limp wrist deal when i first shot them they functioned fine for me even the beat to shit shot out loose as hell rentals. Just cant standem Last edited by Crawford; 08-19-2012 at 08:31 PM. |

Gun shop in independence mo has a smith and Wesson 10mm, stainless steel for iirc $750.
Fondled it a few times, and thought long and hard about it. Just don't want to add another handgun caliber (if I repeat this line enough I will believe it ) Adam G |

The EAA's don't have the best reputation. They tend to beat themselves apart and crack the frames. I'm a fanboy, but I can honestly say Glock makes the best 10mm.

like i said the glocks i shot were all friends guns and my friends should be shot by their guns for how they keep them. had to clean 2 or 3 at the range so they'd cycle. and yes i do have limp wrists. broke the left 4 times and the right 6 times from being stupid as a kid and motorcycle wrecks. hell i can't feel anything from about the center of my right hand to about 2 inches past the wrist
all the pistols i own now are sigs. they just feel right but i'm looking for something different. saw a sig 1911 at the gun shop last week when i was getting powder and that thing just feels like it belongs in my hand....well other then that grip safety thing...but $750 is my budget for this gun and they wanted $1130 |
