Should be a good start for now. I can do any custom style. Provided its not crazy complex, I will have no charge for programming it. I will have to go back thru the thread to see what everyone wanted. More coming as I type it up.
im in for something. im building a 4'x4' frame and hanging 2 - 12" squares (3/8" AR500) and under that 2 - 6" squares (1/2" AR500). already have that material, but i wouldnt mind building another one. too bad shipping would kill anying in the 3' square size.
I will try to beat any price on that website but may take me awhile to price each piece. Just PM for a price request for any items. I will update the thread as I price.
3/8" is more than enough. If you are shooting it at less than 150 yard I bet you will get very, very minor crators. So small that callin them that is unfair, more like dimples. 223 and other fast rounds do more to steel than anything.
Pricing should be coming tonight. Last night a massive headache took me down but not before I order a shipment of different sized flat rate boxes from USPS.

Examples
So order 2 6inch target = 15*2*.90=$27 plus shipping
or
6in round plus a 8in sq =(15+25)*.90=$36
Plate Arrives Feb 8th for the 3/8 and with enough interest I will order 1/2. Has you can guess the plates are pretty dam expensive. LOL

3/8ths plates are plenty thick, you wont be burning holes in them or bending them as long as the plates are hanging. I would wager that they still wont bent mounted to a post as long as the mounts are near the center of the plate.
to last forever with a 308 or most magnums and non AP ammo, 200 yards.
To last many years with 223 and non AP ammo I would shoot mine also at 200 and feel comfortable.
As I said, at 100 with a hot 150gr Noser with my plates, there are very small dimples about the size of a 175 SMK meplat that are about .015 deep.
Most matches have a 3100Fps rule to keep the plates from getting too beat, I would guess that if at a given range you are under 2800-2700 the plates will last a very long time. Ill try to get some pics up tomorrow of mine and the "damage" done at 100.
Retrieved the 3/8 AR500F plate from the steel yard. Here is a picture of a scrap plate being tested for Rockwell value. AR500 plate should be between brinell 450-500 which is 48-51.5 Rockwell C.
Anything can be made. Just need to ask. I will have pictures uploaded tomorrow of pieces as I make them.
Just about finished this dueling tree. Michael/shefron cut the design I wanted and did it for a better price than any of the other guys selling these things...I'm happy.
It's not recommended, but my dueling tree plates have been shot at 25 yds with 300blk sub and supersonic, 5.56 and 7.62x39. The 5.56 took a tiny piece out but that's it. Pretty impressed.
Do you mind posting some pictures of your completed setup. A few people may be interested in seeing how simple you made it. How well did the paddles switch sides?
