EoTech lawsuit

I know this was covered before, but if you want to get a full refund for your HWS the deadline is May 23, 2017. Www.fostersettlement.com
Has anyone submitted a claim and received a refund? Sending mine off tomorrow and I'll update when I hear anything.

I submitted mine a long time ago and received my refund after about 6 weeks. I was going to buy an ACOG with the money but haven't yet.

I sent mine in 12/15 and it took 8 or 9 weeks t receive the refund. They didn't send email confirmation that they had received it for about a month - which had me a bit worried that it got lost. I picked up a Leupold tactical prismatic to replace the defective EOTech. As much as I liked the EOTech, mine broke down twice and I just can't bring myself to trust another one.

The (class-action) problem involved the zero creeping as a result of temperature change. Mine had a problem with leaking.

Did any of you send in a set that comes with the magnifier, like the HHS1? If so, what serial number did you put on the form? The one on the sight itself or the one on the box?

Thanks for the heads up. I like the product but the refund is pretty appealing. Already bought a daylight bright 1-4x put in it's place anyway.

Took a look at the 512 I've had sitting around and found out it qualifies! Maybe I will go for that refund.

I have an EXPS3-0... shit works fine. I'm not taking it to the tundra to sight in, then waltz into the desert for target engagement so I dont have problems.

I always sight it in before doing any hunting or target practice so I don't have issues.

The main reason for the recall is they were aware of a zero shift when the optic was put through a bigger than 40 deg temp shift, I think. Almost all optics do the same thing to an extent. It's just the fact since it was a military contract and they didn't disclose it that shit got blown out of proportion. I have a MRDS and love it.

Exactly. Now suddenly the keyboard commandos jumped on the bandwagon that overnight it became a shit sight. (If you didnt like it before, thats one thing )

Like I said before, if you understand thermal expansion and contraction basics, you will understand that this can happen to most sights out there.

Its a buyer's marker on Eotechs for that reason

Whereso?

I'm wanting to capitalize on this. I have to many yard plinkers that I'd be more than happy with meh (and on a couple, chinese knockoffs) Eotechs.

I have seen a few pop up on VAGuntrader as well as gunbroker.

I have a detachable flip-to-side 7x magnifier I run behind my eotech for distance if I need it. Otherwise I am sub 100 yards and can rawdog eyeball it. I love the 1MOA dot.

The ones I've seen on VAGuntrader haven't been that cheap, at least not, "we're selling off returns" cheap.
As a matter of fact, I never see any real bargains on VAGuntrader. Except when I'm trying to sell stuff.

I agree completely. It used to be a great site for deals, but anymore it's in line with armslist pricing and the sellers seem to think their posted price is going rate. Sadly, my outlets for used guns and stuff has shrunk considerably.

I browse through almost daily just as a 5 minute time waster. I agree, most people are trying to sell used shit at gun shop new prices.

Ive come across people selling ammo, out of the box, at higher per round prices than you can buy in shops. Im like, fucker, that's not how this works. Then they get pissy butthurt when I offer a realistic "used" price for stuff.

"But, 2 years ago, I paid XXXX for this!"

Mothfukle, the times have changed, you gambled and lost. It is a buyers market
