Fuckin A !

Tell me more, tell me more, tell me more.

Buddy of mine just picked up on of the CA DOJ HK94s. It's a fun little rig.

What options do I have for a reciever though? Near as I know, the only recievers available are the Special Weapons ones, and Todd Bailey is reputed to be quite a shit.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't MP5's have problems feeding when chambered in .40 or .45?

No idea. Only ever played with the 9mm version.

And yeah these are 2k each. Considering you can buy a long barreled semi auto MP-5 for under 1500 these are definately not intended for the home hobbiest. My bet is a single "person" with a C-II manufacturing license will buy the lot. Build them all as FAs and then turn around and sell them to some police department for 10k a pop.
If you are interested in a FA MP-5 they run about 15k$. At that price the $200 transfer fee seems a real pitance.

Pete

My buddy rebuilds them at depo level. Think they would have the dimensions in one of the manuals? I could always ask.

Guess you'd have to make handloads for that, too.

Does RCBS make a 40mm HVDP die?

Nah, we all need to build belt fed semi auto 1919s in .308. That would cost a lot to feed!

Uh....Police Departments can get MP5s for like $1500 a pop.

You can get a sear and trigger pack for those guns and make it a legal Full Auto Sear gun (in certain states).

No way. I didn't realise there was such a price spread between the civilian available C-IIIs and those for Gov use.

Wonder who the F is going to buy these kits at 2k a pop.
Oh and just to make sure I went ahead and tried to order 20 of them. yeah they wanted 40k.
