can you put too big a red dot sight on a .22 target pistol?

because I got bored and made a really pimp rail for my Magnum Research Mountain Eagle. And I looked around the house for a red dot sight I was not using.
and I found a 42mm tasco pro point that was not doing anything I like it as it is nice and open but it is fucking huge

I went into the garage with some super quiets it will make a fine sqirrrl killer

I was hitting dime sized marks at 24feet (how wide the garage is) but I need to improve my shooting as I was getting twitchy.
i need some new mags for this, and maybe make a bull barrel for it

You can still get factory new mags from Magnum Research. I dont think they make the 20 rounders anymore , but the 15's are available.

not bad actualy, the center of the optic is maybe 2.5 inches over the bore. I used an old Ruger 10/22 mount that I re-drilled and cut. fits like a charm.

For those who might not know what an AN-PVS/4 is and it's mounted on an M24 for size reference.
Fawkers weight over 4 pounds.
