L.E.D. Lanterns???

I trying to find a pretty small but bright as fawk LED lantern for backpacking camping trips and am only finding cheap crap ones online.

Anyone have/use one thats worth a damn?

my parents got me a Jeep one for christmas, but it looks pretty chintzy. It does have a remote though so you can change brightness w/o walking up to it. I haven't used it outside to see how much it lights up yet either.

For backpacking (light and small is king) I love the pak-lite. It's not exactly a lantern, but you can hang it from a string and run it for many nights on one battery.

My 3 year old nephew likes my princeton tec eos- he took it and went running around the house shining people in the eyes saying "flashlight head!"

He liked the 3W 3D cell maglite even more, but I wouldn't let him use it much- he has a very strong swing, a very poor aim, and his swing is about ball height .

back to the topic at hand- go to www.flashlightreviews.com They should have some good comparisons of lanterns. If you're looking at something useable for wrenching, Target has a black and decker 26LED lantern for about $30. I doubt its high quality... but I think it had some decent reviews online.
