Went coyote hunting for the first time last week. Buddy of mine has been trying to call some in with hand calls for the past month with no luck. I've had a Foxpro Fx-3 electronic caller for a year and haven't been able to use it because we've been working so much. So I went out to his land and put the call out about 30 yards in front of the ground blind he set up. Looked at my watch, it was 3:50 pm.

Hit the remote on the call and picked up my binoculars, when I spotted movement. She came within 50 yards or so and I let her have it . Looked at my watch and it was 3:52 pm

I'm getting a full-body mount done with her sitting on a rock and howling. Should look good.

That's a (preban ...not like that matters anymore) Colt Target Match for anyone wondering.

Nice dog. We have no black ones up this way. I bought the same gun a last summer, with the intention of dog hunting this winter.

You shot the neighbor's dog?
Did it have a collar?

J/K looks like cross of domestic dog and coyote (which happens fairly often).

Too bad I live in the "big city". I'd love to shoot at fawkers like that.

Most of the ones I see in WV have a lot of red in their winter coat. Light tan in the summer.

That's a nice looking one. Ours are mangey scurvey looking dogs. Shoot as many as you can!
