Whats a good gun-mag?

As in magazine... I'm getting into the sport of shooting and I wanted something I could read over... And I was hoping there might be a gun mag that was like crawl among 4wheeler, JP, 4wd, ect (ie: no yuppie mag). I'm mostly interested in shooting paper targets with a 9mm/40ca/45ca and eventually I'll pick up a high(er) powered riffle for shooting paper targets from a long range. I'm new to the sport but not dumb (if you know what I mean). So how about... Are there any good guns/ammo magazines?

Honestly?

None. They will give literary blowjobs to anybody who sends them a sample firearm, as in favorable reviews for firearms that they had jamming issues without of the box or even had to send back to the factory for a fix.

SWAT mag recently reviewed a ed brown 1911, and told about its flaws and how it didnt work out of the box, but once it was sent back and fixed, it began to work fine.

"Gun's and ammo"-- is a very well written rag.

"gun's" --is o.k. ..

"american handgunner" --best one i've read in a while

sometimes i read "tactical" mags for the fun of it. (no hope in PRK of owning one of those)

my .02

fyi, i usually go to borders or barnes and noble for their selection...

Are you a NRA member?
If so, please become one.
You get a good magazine monthly for being a member.
I choose the American Rifleman, but they have two others.
