Scored a Springfield 1911. I'll be putting 200 rds, of .45 down range Sat. morning.

No kidding. I recently was looking at a real good job, I mean my life long dream job. Only it was in Irvine. No thanks.

Which model?

I picked up a NIB Springfield Commander and it needed some feed ramp polishing and about 30 minutes worth of working the slide with a mixture of clp and valve compound to get it to feed. Was surprised that a NIB gun from a big name needed so much work to work.
My Colt worked right out of the box.

Plain old GI .45. We'll see how it goes on Sat. So far it seems to be feeding snap caps fine, but live rounds might be another story. I have a 1000 rounds coming from armscor, so I should have the opportunity to put it through it's paces in the next couple of weeks. This is my first pistol so I hope I won't have too many issues.
