If that's a polymer upper, do not shoot it, they are known for failure, seriously. You do not want a catastrophic upper receiver failure lighting off next to your noggin.

I hope you paid damn near nothing for that thing.

Ok did a bit of research on it, the lowers seem to be OK, not great but they work, they are a low stress part anyway. You should be able to swap out the upper for a standard aluminum one and be good to go. All is not lost, anybody who is competent with ARs can swap your barrel over in about 10 minutes tops.

has a3 uppers like yours but aluminum for $110 with all parts, they are really nice uppers. The one I ordered came assembled as well when I ordered the stripped upper and parts kit.

When i was talking to the guy, i was questioning it, and he kept saying they were tested, yada yada. I guess this is what i get for not doing my homework.

Yes, same dirtbags. Check out their website, they claim that they build "the machineguns of the special forces!"

Avoid Vulcan-Hesse like the plague poor products and god aweful costomer service. They built a bunch of AK receivers and didn't heat treat the ejectors on them.

Maybe for the 5th ward special forces... I have heard nothing but bad reports about Hesse and every other name they have used.

Yeah any company that has to change names every few years to stay in business is never a good choice to go with

Like you, I didn't do any research when I bought my first gun, which was an AK built on a Hesse receiver. It lacked adequate heat treating, and therefore began to prematurely wear in some critical areas.

I took ended up replacing the rails in the receiver, re-welding the trunion to the receiver, and heat-treating everything to make the rifle functional again.

Vulcan = Hesse = junk most of time....

Looks like a nice rifle though.

$200 can fix the vulcan mess. Perhaps get a MEGA Upper and lower.
