Yes, heating things up. You could park stuff in a metal pot on it. Not really good for submersing in liquid though.

Or run 4 lead tire weight smelting operations.

Be sure to do it outside with an appropriate amp-rated circuit and extension cord. Oh yeah, don't inhale the fumes.
