Tactical goodies
so i've been looking around at some new stuff i wanna get and i was just wondering where i could find it cheapest as im sure theres a place or 2 i didn't find in my searching. purpose being huntin, no fun tactical adventures for me but, i like to be prepared and stylish
. ive been looking a tactical vest and either bying a leg holster or making the rigging to make the one i have work as a drop holster. im sick of smackind my rifle into my pistol when i hike.http://cgi.ebay.com/Tactical-Load-Be...QQcmdZViewItem this is the vest ive pretty well decided on and this is esentially the holster i have sept it probly not the right size. my sidearm is a Ruger P94 s.e. .40. http://cgi.ebay.com/UNCLE-MIKES-SIDE...QQcmdZViewItem sorry for the stupid long links i don't know how to shorten em with out maken em not work

In my experience, UM stuff is made cheaply & fits poorly. Notice how it’s about the cheapest thing out there? It’s your gun, put it in a sock and tie it around your waist if you want. What do I know I’m just somebody on some site

im not trying to be an ass i was just wondering. and for all i know u know alot more than me. and as far as a vest w/holster i really don't like most of em. they seem over priced and most are lacking in storage. ok so that said what the best bet as far as a leg holster?

The vest is kind of a joke.
it doesn't appear to be configurable and its set up strictly for paintball ammo. Or is this for paintball? look for MOLLE gear.

no your right it's not configurable. i think it's a knock off of a south african military setup.

if you're gonna buy a piece of kit spend the money and get a good one; typically you will only have to do it once...blackhawk is crap in my opinion...i'm like this setup with some pouches and stuff:
http://www.skdtac.com/index.asp?Page...PROD&ProdID=42 or these are nice for carrying just ammo for non-tacitcal scenarios http://www.skdtac.com/index.asp?Page...ROD&ProdID=722 remember this shit is supposed to help save your life and your treating like a fucking trip to the dollar store...yeah i know it's just a plate carrier, but i sustained a direct hit from a pretty hearty EFP IED and lived and i was wearing just a plate carrier and a mich helmet... don't bargain bob your kit...your life could one day depend on it... Just a word on Uncle Mike's stuff. I used to use their stuff. I actually liked their holsters, although my last one, the plastic broke when I snagged it on something. I switched to Safariland due to agency policy, but I was going that direction anyway. I prefer the Safariland, I'm beating the crap out of my holster and I haven't had one problem with it yet.
