holy crap that's a heavy chunk of steel

checked in at the local pawn shop the other day. Masterpiece Arms 9mm rifle. Had what appeared to be a suomi drum.

Masterpiece arms 9mm rifle. 70 round drum. (suomi?)

thing weighed a ton, felt like crap and oh, did I mention it was quite heavy?

I handled one of those a while back. It's not only heavy as hell, all the weight seems to be in the bbl. That thing needs some serious attention from a lathe, it's a 9mm after all, not 50bmg.

after looking at the other stuff Masterpiece Arms makes, that does not surprise me at all.

here's a slightly bigger version of that pic.

looks like they took their Mac10 and put a .250" thick steel girdle around it to hold the drum, then put the longer barrel, grip and stock on the mac10.

They say on their website that it uses a FAL lower and a MAC bolt in their upper.
