Mosin Rocksolid Scope Mount Dimensions?

I am having a hard time paying more money for a scope mount than the gun. So, I want to attempt to make my own version of the Rocksolid mount. However, if it doesn't work, then I want to be able to buy one and just bolt it on. Can someone who has one get the bolt hole measurements and dimensions for me? Any other dimensions would be greatly appreciated as well.

Sorry - just got home last night. Without drawing something in paint - I'll do my best to describe the dimensions. Keep in mind this is for their hex receiver version -

Overall length - 6"
Overall height including side 'skirt' - 1.28"
Height from top of picatinny rail to receiver surface - .69"
Distance from front of mount to notch for the 'action' - 2.25"
Action notch length - 2.625"
Rear picatinny length - 1.125"
Overall width - 1.175"
Distance from front of mount to fist mounting hole - 1.08"
Distance from front of mount to second mounting hole - 1.88"
Distance from front of mount to rear side mounting hole - 5.25"

Hope that can get you through most of it -

Thx for the reply. I really appreciate it. Does the following look out of place at all? Do you know the top two bolt hole dimensions?

There's technically supposed to be some vertical surface between the low bevel of the rail and whatever's below it; the 1913 rail spec gives it as a minimum, IIRC. It's not supremely important, but depending on the bulk of the scope rings you're using, you may need some room there.

Recoil grooves should also be added; unless you're building to the mil spec or a particular multi-groove-grabbing scope mount, their location isn't critical, and you can probably cut them at any width from about .18 to .25 and be good-enough, to the depth of the "top half" (cut away to the widest point) of the rail.

Edit: I was pondering last night the idea of using the rear sight leaf pin location and a top-of-the-receiver "pad" to mount a long-eye-relief pistol scope on a Mosin-Nagant, in order to avoid having to cut away the mount for ejection or deal with the bent-bolt-handle issues that all the rearward-mounting scope mounts for these, require. Any thoughts on that idea?

Looking back at the pics, I guess I did miss the slots on top. No big deal. However, regarding the vertical surface...I noticed that the pic of picatinny rail shows it, but the Rocksolid mount does not. It seems like it would be easy enough to add so I'll modify what I have so far an post back up later tonight.

As for mounting a pistol scope, I personally have two issues with that:
1) This is my super cheap gun. I plan on using an already-owned 4-8x scope that was super cheap anyways (Walmart I think)
2) I personally don't like the look of the fwd mounted scopes on rifles.

However, I think that it would work successfully given the correct mounting location.

getting ready for fall?? I plan to be packing heavy!
Edit, if you find some smaller pieces of 3/4 and 1" plate, save it.

How big do you want? I've got drops of steel bar from various stuff, 3/4x3, 3/4x4, 1x3, 1x4, some hot rolled, some cold rolled, usually under a foot long. Just ends up in my scrap steel bin.
