7.62x39 AR mags
Anyone know a source for 10rd 7.62x39 mags?
I always thought you just used regular 223 mags

I would imagine the taper of the 7.62x39 round would prevent it from functioning properly in the 5.56 mags..
but no, I don't know where to find any... never actually tried looking for them..

You can only fit 7 or so 7.62 rounds into a 5.56 mag before they start to bind due to the taper. Franken-mags have been available for a long time but they are $40-50 each. C-Products has been developing their high capacity 7.62 mags for awhile but I have yet to see them actually for sale. I have a 7.62 colt AR but it is back home cause mags are a bitch to get and if I want to shoot x39 I'll just use an AK.

The C-products mags have been getting good reviews. The 30-rounders are out of stock - when they introduced them, they went fast. RD |
