School me on this MAK-90
I bought this thing from my brother because he was in a bind and needed some cash. Now I some cash worse than I need this rifle. I have no idea what it is worth, but I have the 30 round mag, and 3 ten round mags, along with a couple of hundred rounds of ammo. There are a bunch of those sks stripper clips because the ammo was left over from when I had my sks.
How much can I expect to get out of all of this stuff? Also, any info about the rifle would be appreciated. I know it is a Norinco MAK-90 Sporter, but other than that I know very little. Besides the stock, what makes it different from an AK47? Here are some pics: ![]() ![]() ![]()

I never understood why the fuck something with a fucked up ass end and neutered "evil features" gets more than say a WASR

Put them side by side and you would understand. MAKs are light years ahead of a WASR. |

Gil I have a MAC and it is fucking nice. I traded a wrecked 95 Pontiac Sunfire for mine so I have no idea what its "worth." I see them at gunshows prety frequently listed from $5-600 but I dont know if thats what they actually go for. One thing's for sure, its fit and finish is MUCH better than my romi and unknown AKs.

1.5mm thick receiver, the fact that there are no more coming in, the machine work is a whole heck of a lot nicer, and the chinese were nice enough to drown the furniture in enough lacquer to hide the fact that they don't sand the wood.

![]() In my particular case, the muzzle nut was just tacked in place, came right off. The stock was easily replaced with a US made set ( no slant cut ). If you look at my pic, there's a cleaning rod and when was the last time you f-ing bayonetted someone???? ![]() Oh, and the fact it was a .223 and I only paid $200 for it, I thought I did OK. I've owned a few SAR-1s and played with a WASR, I'd take a MAK any day over them both. |

Guy wants $550.00 for this thing:
http://www.mouseguns.com/mak90gal/mk90.html Says it's low round count and about twenty years old. Comes with seven Chinese 30 rounders and three five rounders. Can you all tell if the receiver is angled? I can't. Don't really know what I'm looking at. Worth $550.00 he's asking? I was going to offer $500.00 since he's down in Chattanooga. |

Meh
A stamped Mak 90 sporter sells for $400-$450 on gunbroker. Those are auctions that actually were bid on (not simply listings). Figure the buyer is paying $20-$30 shipping +transfer ~$20.
$450 or so appears reasonable. ________ Live Sex Last edited by atblis; 08-12-2011 at 02:04 AM. |
