Evil Black Gun (What will 500 dollars Buy?)

I want to purchase a new weapon. I only have about 500 dollars. I already have a decent assortment of Junk so I am looking for something with a high Evil factor. I was considering an http://www.tickbitesupply.com/mpa.html MPA 10 in the .45 but its real heavy.

I could go a little more on the $$$$ for the right thing but not too much more.

Suggestions??

Have a shotgun?

Rem 870, pistol grip, 18" barrel, mag extension, maybe a flashlight too.

Saiga rifle would match what you are looking for. I think pete has good prices on the rifles, so check his site.

you could build up a .223 w/kit parts for near that (maybe $550-575) depending on where you shop...

a nice tactical shotty would fit in that budget as well as a lot of different AKs

If you can find one defiantly the Saiga 12. I think it will be one of the first guns banned if Obama get in.

That's really the best deal going on an AR15 unless you're willing to scour internet classifieds for weeks to find used parts and piece one together yourself.

And I'd suggest and AR15 from Pete over the AK just because of that sale. You won't be likely to find a better deal ever again.

FWIW my normal price on that DS kit is 460 and 100 for the receiver, so 560.
But people wanted a better 'deal' then the stag kit

I would suggest a 20" instead of an 18", just for the extra shell.

If you want an AR, that sale is probably the best deal you're going to find in an all-in-one deal. I collected parts for at least a year before I finally put mine together, and I think it eventually came out to be between 650 and 700.

If you go the parts kit route, and need any help putting it together, just let me know, and I can swing by and show's ya...

Not unless you are going to war, or firing thousands upon thousands of rounds.

No. Just take care of it like you would any other rifle and it will last for a very, very long time.

It's between the AR and this http://www.tickbitesupply.com/mpa.html .45 side slide with rail and extention at the botton of the page.

I have a AK. I just thought the MPA would be more anti-social.

Do you know anybody that has a MPA?

Come by anytime, Mrs. Desi says hi!

The MPA is only cool if you hold it sideways while shooting at the local gun range.

I don't know anyone with one, but the MPA 30 Top Charger is in a price range that wouldn't really hurt me much, so I may consider getting one early next year just for the hell of it. You should get one and let me shoot it before I decide to go get one.

I  Mrs. Desi

Sideways shooting is so cool! but you have to be shooting at least two guns at the same time!

I am buying that sucker in the morning.

Fight socialism!!!

Here's my opinion- I have an AK (cheap-o Romanian), a MPA side charger in 9mm, and I JUST ordered an AR from Pete.

The AK rifle gets ultra-scary points since it looks like every gun toted by every terrorist on CNN. Plus it's cheap-ish to shoot.

The MPA (mine in 9) is fun to shoot. It has HORRIBLE iron sights, but it's fun to shoot "A-Team" style from the hip... if you're not left handed. Oh, and and it's dirt cheap to shoot with 9mm brass being cheaper than 7.62x39 now.

The AR... well hell, I guess I'll find out in 3-5 weeks. It might be nice having a finely manufactured piece of equipment for once.

Think about it this way... when you go out to shoot... what would be the first one you would want to shoot? For me it's the MPA.
