cetme .308 whats it worth
I am in the running for a Centry Arms CETME 7.62/ 308 Limited Edition SN# 141 of 500. The rifle is in perfect condition. The bluing is 100%, the wood is 100% comes with a sling, 12 mags and a mag pouch that came with it. Four of the mags are HK G3 mags. The other eight are CETME steel mags
Anyone have an idea on current worth value and something I wont wanna kick myself later for paying so much??? Thanks

I remember when these came out and there wasn't really anything special about them, other than they were good looking cosmeticaly, no dings in the wood and very nice paint. I wouldn't pay more than $800 for it. A PRT91 will still be a better rifle than this will. If you do get it , get a set of H&K ABS stocks for it, so you don't beat up the nice wood. This is also discounting the recent EBR hystaria, which I feel is bs.
Make sure to check the bolt gap, check for a ground bolt face, make sure the end of the bolt carrier has not been ground down as well. The CETME mags should lock up tightly in the mag will with very little free play. The HK mags will be a little looser. |

Century Arms and Limited Edition just dont seem to go together.
FWIW you can get a PTR-91 for 950ish. I don't think I would pay over 600 for a CETME

If you add the purchase prices of my CETME and my AK, its less than most people have in their AR.
If you average the cost of 7.62x39 and .308 its about the cost of .223 So, I have two firearms that cost the same as one AR and are more fun and useful! AR's are teh gay

I had one about 5 years ago....my particular example was JUNK. Finish sucked, welds sucked, would only work when it wanted to......now some guys swear by them, but I don't think they're worth more than $4-500 used IF it works.
As stated, save for a PTR91, buddy of mine has one, it's a damn nice rifle. |
